Thanks NCAE!

NCAE stands for National Career Assessment Examination. It is a type of examination where all third year students of our country should take up to guide them for the course they will  choose when they enter in college. It is necessary for a third year like me because it is just one more year and I will be entering a university or college. Choosing a course is really hard and very confusing, it takes long thinking to arrive on a good decision.  Should I go for it or not? Would this first step of mine would lead me to my success in the future?
August 29 of the year 2012, it was the date of the NCAE. The day before the test, I was excused in class due to my fever. That night when I opened my facebook account, I chatted my classmate and asked her about our assignment then she told me that tomorrow is our NCAE. After some moments when I read her reply to my question, my mind was like "loading....loading...loading...."....REALLY? ARE YOU KIDDING?! I reacted somewhat like scared, happy, sad. It was mixed emotions I felt that night. NCAE is very important for me because this might be the answers to the questions of  those who will always ask me if what course am I going to take up in college.
On the day of the exam, I was not prepared nor excited. I was just neutral about everything. The students were arranged alphabetically and specific number of student are in a room. Girls were separated from boys and proctors were from different schools. I remembered our National Achievement Test, it was almost the same but different type of examination. We waited for our proctor to arrive. The time to start the test is at 8:00 in the morning. The proctor arrived almost on time. She was beautiful and young but she never told us her name. She explained the rules and regulations then she discussed the parts of the test then she gave us the answer sheets and the booklets containing the questions we will answer. The answer sheet was very clean and she told us that we should take care of it properly. After saying that, my mind said "Oh, take care properly and avoid any bit of mess on it!" Then, we started the test. The first part of the test was about our gadgets, appliances at home and our parent's annual income. When we started the test and when I saw the first part I was happy because I really like the type of questions on the first part. Then, we continued taking up the test. It consists of Math, Science and Language. The last part of the test was the OIISS. That was the most boring part for me. There were 260 items and you will just react for the situation given. I really find it boring for it was too long and some of the situations are just having one idea. But thank God that I have finished the test.
I'm glad that the DepEd and CHED decided to have this type of examination. I thank God that this type of examination was created.  I'm so excited on the results! May this help and guide me on taking the right part to college life. :)
